Every September, communities across the nation come together for Hunger Action Month, a Feeding America–led campaign to raise awareness, inspire action, and help ensure no one goes hungry. Did you know, more than 50 million Americans—in 100% of U.S. counties—turned to food pantries last year?

Hunger Action Month resonates deeply with the mission of Hunger Free Golden to support our food insecure neighbors by providing access to fresh and healthy food. Golden's three main food pantries, Golden Pantry & Thrift, BGOLDN, and Calvary Food Shelf, are seeing a significant increase in the number of visitors and the amount of food distributed. From January-July of 2025, the three pantries combined had 9289 visitors; compared to 6602 last year (a 40% increase) and they have distributed 284,517 pounds of food this year, compared to 228,168 in 2024 (a 25% increase).

As the need for food assistance continues to grow, please consider making a DONATION, or offering food or your time, to help support the work being done to support our Golden neighbors.
